An iPhone 4 could be perfect for wine drinkers

Wine connoisseurs may find they have a surprising amount to gain through recycling their mobile and switching to an iPhone.

Kat Hannaford, writing for the Daily Telegraph, uses an article to explore the various apps and tools that are available to consumers on the subject of wine.

She starts by recommending Wine Chap, a free download that offers users the chance to search the wine lists of restaurants in London, New York, Hong Kong and other cities.

The author notes this can be considered something of a “blaggers’ guide”, helping individuals to build up their wine knowledge.

Ms Hannaford goes on to advise iPhone owners the Wine Finder app from Tesco is another shrewd download, as it can be used to source the beverage from the supermarket.

And she goes on to heap praise on Fromage – an app costing £1.79 that matches more than 750 cheeses with the perfect accompanying wine.

The iPhone 4 – Apple’s latest version of the model – was released in the UK in June.
