Britons who received an unwanted handset for Christmas may find mobile recycling is the best way to get rid of it.
Jasmine Birtles, founder of Moneymagpie.com, explains selling presents that will not be used is a good way to raise some cash.
This can be put towards paying off their own Christmas debt, with many building up borrowings on plastic in order to fund the festivities.
“A lot of people will be getting presents that they don’t want. They can start to see what they can sell there and really start early before the credit card bills come in,” Ms Birtles states.
Mobile recycling can be an effective way of doing this, with cash available for devices that are disposed of in a green manner.
It may also contribute to solving the ongoing debt problems of British consumers, with research by unbiased.co.uk recently showing just 10p of every pound saved in the third quarter was used to pay off what is owed.
